When not doing dishes, hoovering, dusting or any of that other yucky stuff women do I either have a crochet hook in hand, sitting in front of my sewing machine, using all the muscles I didn't know I had making felt or searching the net for more things to make. Not sure why I still spend so much precious time looking at new patterns since I have probably a hundred and have never made anything twice! But it's ADDICTING!!
So I finally got my pictures from my photo session with my new friend. There are not as many photos as I thought there would be :( But she has been so kind to lend me her photography tent so over the next few days I am going to take some photos of my own. I am excited about this and can't wait to see the results. I have also decided, although I don't have many, but any unisex hats or scarves I have I am going to get my step son to model. hehe I really need a little girl!! He needs new footie aka soccer boots so may have to bribe him haha. Although I did do a photoshoot with him about 2 years ago and he loads of fun. He was quite the little stud :) I've added some photos of our shoot. Ok so he doesn't look too happy in the last one. Well actually he thought it was funny to pull a face. I love the photo though!
Have a look here for my new child/adult halloween pumpkin hat
When I logged onto my Artfire this morning I was happy to see that I had sold an item! http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/3493160 I wonder if it has anything to do with my new blog or my twitter account...? Now if only I could figure out how to add a widget with all my positive feedback on here and on Artfire. Stayed tuned for the Dinky Car Belt. I have finished it and now just need to take pictures and upload it.
So after nearly 6 years of searching for Albanian classes so I would be able to communicate with my husbands family I have finally found one!! It was towards the end of last year and really a fluke but I met 2 lovely Albanian ladies at my step sons school and found out about Shpresa Programme. It's a charity that helps Albanian women and also has classes for children to learn Albanian. They also learn traditional Albanian dancing. Fun right! Anyway I started taking my step son last year and this year on our first day back I found out they were offering Albanian classes to us ladies that were married to Albanians. I am really excited that the next time I go to see his family in Albania, Italy or Greece I may be able to have an actual conversation!! Instead of one that's half English half Albanian! lol Tomorrow I am going to meet up with a fellow student who is going to help me re-due some of my pictures on my Artfire and take some one of the many things that haven't been photographed yet. I am really excited about this and can't wait to upload them. So check in to my account soon so you can see all the lovely changes.
So I have no idea what I'm doing on here but thought I would start a blog for all my crafty bits and bobs. For the moment, while I'm turning my brain and computer skills on you can find me on http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/TwistedGems
